The life and times of your favorite classic movie actresses and actors

I remember the first time I watched Gone with the Wind. I was mesmerized by Vivien Leigh's portrayal of Scarlett O'Hara.

I said to myself at the time that Vivien Leigh will always be "my favorite actress". Things have changed since then.

While I still love Vivien Leigh, she has some pretty stiff competition for my movie fan affection.

For instance, Barbara Stanywck, . I can't take my eyes off her. Whether she's making my skin crawl as the coldblooded and seductive Phyllis Dietrichson in Double Indemnity or making me laugh as the "Martha Stewart-like" Elizabeth Lane in Christmas at Connecticut.

And I have a huge crush on Ann Sheridan. I remember the first time I saw her. I was watching One More Tomorrow on Turner Classic Movies. Barbara Stanwyck

When she first came on to the screen it was like being hit by a bold of lightening. As well as being incredibly beautiful, she knew how to deliver a wise-crack with the best of them.

There are so many are vying for my affection: Joan Fontaine, Greer Garson, Rita Hayworth, Lana Turner...the list goes on.

As for actors, I've always been a fan of Errol Flynn. It was hard not to love the guy after reading about his amazing adventures in his autobiography My Wicked Wicked Ways.

My favorite Flynn role was his portrayal of boxer Jim Corbett in the movie Gentlemen Jim.

And who among us has not been brought to tears when by the last scene of It's a Wonderful Life when Jimmy Stewart as George Bailey gets his wings.

Or marveled at Bogie's performance as he delivers some of the greatest lines in movie history in the near-perfect Casablanca.

As you I'm sure you've figured out I'm a classic movie fan. But in addition to loving classic movies, I've always been interested in the lives of the actors and actresses who appeared in them. And that's why I decided to put together this site.

If you're reading this, more than likely you're a classic movie fan too. What I've tried to do with my "Classic Movie People" site is give you a bit more information than what might be available from other similar sites.

To provide you with more than just a couple of paragraphs about your favorite actor or actress.
